Engé belongs to the family of Pisla Helmstetter (1926, Urhwiller - 2013, Strasbourg), first Sinti-Tsigani woman ever who got her car driving licence. Pisla was a writer, used to speak Romani fluently and received at her home in Barr both Yehudi Menuhin and Ravi Shankar as one life time guests.

It's good to remember such people who in spite of sufferings, also during the nazi era, always stood up again, to transmit hope to the younger generations. We need greatly today such wise people. May Pisla rest in peace forever.
